He was predeceased by: his parent Lewis Simpson; his daughter LaDonna Strech; his sisters, Doris Odle and Charlene Guess; and his grandsons, Jeremy Woodruff and Lukas Cooper.
He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Kennedy Simpson; his spouse Wanda Booth Wickliff; his sons, Michael Simpson (Genevieve) of Kenton, OH and Jeff Cooper (Cherie) of Bellefontaine; his stepdaughters, Patti Fichtner (Lynn) of Columbus, Pam Wickliff (Brett Pettiford) of Shawnee and Lima; and his grandsons, Jacob Cooper, Larry Woodruff and Lucain Woodruff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
