He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Frank Hemphill and Helen Hemphill; his brother Oris J.; his sister-in-law Marion V. Hemphill; his stepson DaWayne Barnes; and his niece Linda Roberts.
He is survived by: his brother Paul; his sister-in-law Betty Hemphill of Bellefontaine; his stepdaughter Celita Martin (Glenn); his grandchildren, Joshua Strunk (Stacey) of Clovis, CA, Matthew Strunk (Chelsea) of Clovis, CA, Lauren Cowin (Eric) of Clovis, CA, Sarah Martin of Clovis, CA and Nathan Barnes of Sidney, OH; and his nieces and nephews, Dorothy Allen, Susan Clum, Donna Stoner, Dan Hemphill and Richard Hemphill. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
