It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Pearl Newland of Rushsylvania, Ohio, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Royer and Opal Royer (Predmore); her husband Robert Eugene Newland; her grandson Shane Harmon; and her siblings, Geraldine Snyder, Lewis and William Givens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Gaver (Rod) of Ridgeway, Robin Newland of Rushsylvania and Diana Shepherd (Michael) of Zanesfield; her sister Sandy Buck (Lowell) of West Liberty; and her grandchildren, Stephanie McClain (Dominick DeAngelis), Liz McDaniel (Mike), Todd Gaver, Natalie Gaver, Lacie Gaver, Aaron Shepherd (Abagail), Elijah Shepherd and Ethan Shepherd. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Barbara's honor may be made to Universal Hospice or First Church of God in Ridgeway.
