He is survived by: his wife Sally Simmering (Newkirk); his son Freddie Simmering (Amber) of Portsmouth; his siblings, Lehman Simmering of Oak Hill, Minnie Adams of Wheelersburg and Linda Hoover (Gary) of South Webster; his grandchildren, Lilly, William, Alessa, Heather, Nathan and Keith; and his close friends, Chris McCleese and Bob Pelphrey. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
