He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Takats and Katherine Takats (Kish); his wife Sylvia J. Bruzda; his son Mark; and his siblings, Jim, Mike, John, George, Joe, Vince, Betty and Mary.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelley Lawniczak (John); his daughter-in-law Janelle Takats (Lucio); his grandchildren, Hayley Bevier (Isaiah), Jordan (Hannah Saba), Emily Bartlett (Joshua) and Alayna Luce (Eric); his great grandchildren, Lillian Grace and Arabella Bartlett; his sister-in-law Pat Malohn; and his pet Hoover Lawniczak.
