He was predeceased by: his father Hans Hafer; and his brother Sandy Hafer. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Jean Hafer (Orr); his wife Paula Handy; his children, Ted Hafer (McKenzie), Kara Yates (Zach) and Chad Hafer (Brittany); his grandchildren, Taryn, Jaxson, Bentley, Berkeley Hafer, Rylee, Zoe, Leo Yates, Penelope, Cline, Crawford and Preston Hafer; his brother Keith Hafer (late Debbie); his mother-in-law Dorothy Handy (late George Handy); his sister-in-law Rhonda Threadgill (Ray); his nieces, Erin Lemmink (Joe), Kelly Wenderfer (Mike), Jennifer Samaniego (Bernardo), Amber Little (David) and Jenny Frederick; and his nephew Tyler Hafer.
