She was predeceased by: her fathers, Virgil Slack and Elmer Young; and her husband Virgil Howard Slack. She is survived by: her sister Evelyne; her sons, Gale Slack (Darlene) of Cardington, Larken Slack (Jackie) of Roseville and Van Slack (Melissa) of Roseville; her grandchildren, Nathan Slack (Erin), Andrea Johnson (Jonathan), Ashley Wheeler (Jeff-"J. J."), Cory Slack and Abigail Slack (Hannah Slack); and her sisters, Evelyn Browning (Dale), Florence Owens, Lulu Mock, Esther Shilling and Audrey Smith. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
