He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Shepard and Sarah Canter Shepard; his wife Rita Cavinee Shepard; his brother-in-law Gene Cavinee (Leanna); and his siblings, Cleata Hicks, Arnold, Thelbert and Merold Shepard.
He is survived by: his niece Kerri Gilligan (Toby); his nephews, Brent Cavinee (Angie) and Todd Cavinee (Trina); and his sister-in-law Darlene Shepard. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
