He was predeceased by: his parents, James McConnell and Elsie McConnell; and his siblings, Delmer McConnell, James McConnell, Connie Polanski, Alice Napora and Linda LaRue.
He is survived by: his wife Cleo McGilton McConnell (Pat); his sons, Guy (Rick) and Terry McConnell; his grandchildren, Steven Scott McConnell, Daniele Kathleen McConnell and Ian Patrick McConnell; his great grandchild Charlotte Ann McConnell; and his siblings, Denny McConnell, Elsie Wilson (Maisie), Martha Cocherl (Cookie) and Jeanne Beckholt. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital or Genesis Hospice Care of Zanesville, Ohio.
