He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston David and Elizabeth Girton (Lohr); his wife Betty Jane Girton (Church); his daughter Susan Reardon (Girton); and his brothers, Preston and Wallace Girton.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Girton (Elizabeth), Kathryn Rooks (Joseph) and David Girton (Renee); and his brother Leslie Girton. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
