He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Frank Edwards and Edna Cora Edwards (Hampton); his wife Dorothy L. Edwards (Carden); his siblings, Richard, Nancy, Genia, Dorothy and Elsie; his granddaughter Tanya; and his great grandchild Isaac.

He is survived by: his children, Jim (Terry), Frank (Jenn) and Penny Pontius (Tim); his stepsons, William (Dana) and Michael (Angie); his grandchildren, Tony (Jenn), Matt (Jen), Helen (Jeramie), Alex (Dawn), Amber (Adam), Timothy (Brittany), Cora, Jessi, Elizabeth, Lillyanna, Brittany (Carl), Abby, Blake and Maddie; his great grandchildren, Kevin, Samantha, Brandon, Tayla, AJ, Torrie, Emily, Jackson, David, Adelyn, Addison, Reagan and Charity; his great great grandchildren, Gavin and Liam; his siblings, Bill, Fred (Sherry), Polly Sample and Retha Baughman (Jack); and his brother-in-law Mike Bowling (Charlotte).

Family is asking everyone to wear masks and practice safe distancing at the funeral home and church.
