She was predeceased by: her husband Nathan "Buck" Sorkin; and her parents, Mitchell "Mick" Bresky and Margaret Bresky. She is survived by: her children, Jeanie Sorkin and Jack Sorkin; her grandson Nathan Ray Sorkin; and her great-grandparent Jeanie.

Barbara also helped promote awareness to the Blind through the Lions Club as well as collecting eyeglasses donated by the community.
