He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Ray Reckart and Cora Blanche Hauger; his son Richard Reckart; his son-in-law David Prinkey; and his brothers, Darwin Shafer, Dailey, Donal, James, William, Delbert, Otis Wayne, Playford and Herbert Reckart.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Alice Brown; his brother Harlan Reckart (Onilee); his children, Gene Reckart (Tammy), Steven Reckart (Lori), JoDel Prinkey and Barbara Hornyak (Robert); his grandchildren, Colleen Cooper (Jim), Tony Prinkey, Devin Reckart (Fiona), Kiera Reckart, Kaylee Reckart, Chad Reckart, Alicia Reckart and Connie Savage (Dale); his great grandchildren, Ellie Cooper, Eli Cooper, Dale Savage, Jr. and Kenny Savage; his friends, Hank and Don; and also Floyd. He is also survived by six step great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
