He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Gorby and Sarah Butler Gorby; his wife Ruth Ellen Ward Gorby; his siblings, William Francis Gorby, Sr. and Norma Guy; and his great grandchild Gemma Kae Gorby.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Gorby Jr. (Loretta) of Rogers, Anthony "Tony" Gorby Sr. (Tiffany) of Negley, Wayne Gorby Sr. (Mindy Schroeder) of Negley and Brenda Kays (Shannon) of Austintown; and his siblings, Timothy Gorby of East Palestine and Paula Smith (Gene) of Rogers. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
