She was predeceased by: her former husband Augustus Monturo; her husband Thomas Ferris; her siblings, Julia Childress and Dexter Childress; and her parents, Paul Childress and Lucille Childress.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Nagy (William) and Richard Monturo (Rob Donkers); her grandchildren, Alexander Nagy and Angeline Toth (Erik); her great grandchildren, Noah and Ava Toth; her sister Nancy Van Hoeven; and her niece Kyle Van Hoeven. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, Independence, Ohio.
