It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John M. Schanz (Rocky River, Ohio), born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schanz and Jeanette Schanz (Hoppinger); his wife Joyce Evans Schanz; and his brother Dr. Peter B. Schanz. He is survived by: his children, Lisa E. Schanz, John M. Schanz III (Laura), Tom R. Schanz (Jackie) and Susan S. Miller (Jeff); his grandchildren, Adam (Kristine), Mathew, Emily, Heather, Jacob (Amber), Samantha (Sean), Evan, Jack, Austin and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Liam and Isadora; and his close friend Marilyn Harris.

Memorial Contributions may be made in John's honor to the American Heart Association 1375 East Ninth Street, Cleveland, OH. 44114.
