He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hale Dant and Ann Dant; his siblings, Nancy (Bill) and Bill (Danny); his wife Marilyn Dant (Hammett); his sons, Alan Jr. (Elizabeth), Kevin (Joanne), Neil (Nina), Mark (Angela) and Peter (Terri); and his grandchildren, Tommy, Spencer, Christopher, Maggie, Ben, Grace, Lucas, Marlana, Noah and Sophia.
