He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert H. Kuhn and Viola Kuhn (Bollenbacher); his wife Vera White; his son Douglas Kuhn; his siblings, Orville, Robert, Gerald, Chalmer Kuhn, Dorothy Rupert and Carol Graves; and his sisters-in-law, Joy Kuhn and Marie Kuhn.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristina Stemen of Rockford; his grandson Noah Stemen of Rockford; his sister Delilah "Becky" Hays; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Kuhn and Pat Kuhn.
Out of concerns for others, Vernon's family asks that anyone attending his visitation and funeral service please wear a mask. They also respectfully request that anyone who is ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID please do not attend the services, but rather call or send their condolences.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vernon's memory may be sent to the Rockford United Methodist Church Cheer Boxes fund.
