She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Pumphrey May Sr. and Bernice Viola May (Forwerck); her brothers, Jerry Tumey and Paul P. May Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Harris (John) and Dave Bigham.

She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Warthman (Brian) of Dayton and Kristina Bennett II (James R.) of Russells Point; her grandchildren, Mariell Thimme, Margaret Warthman and James Bennett; her siblings, Thomas O. May (Pam) of Celina, Karen Handley (Loel) of Greer and Susann Gurley of Rockford; and her sister-in-law Connie Bigham of Rockford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
