He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Drayton and Mary E. Layman (Drake); his stepfather Glen Layman; his grandparents, Margaret Drayton, Harley and Nola Drake; and his brother-in-law Rick Villanueva.
He is survived by: his children, Brittany Cousino of Saint Marys, Joseph "Joey" Drayton Jr. of Rockford, Chad Drayton of St. Marys and Douglas Fonner of Rockford; his siblings, Loretta Martin, Becky Drayton of Toledo and Steve Drayton (Jenny) of Colorado; and the mother of his children Karen Fonner of Rockford. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family for final expenses.
