She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Burgan and Ruby I. Burgan (Mughmaw); and her siblings, Duane, Bob Burgan and Wanda Coleman.
She is survived by: her husband James E. Sturgeon of Rockford, OH; her children, Deborah Holmes of Adrian, MI, Joe Sturgeon (Ronda) of Haughton, LA and Janette Halsey of Huntington, IN; her stepchildren, Paul Cearns (Diana) of Convoy, OH, Gary Cearns (Chris) of Decatur, IN and Susie Wolfe (Brian) of Decatur, IN; her sister Susan Witte (David) of Arnold, MO; and her sister-in-law Gerrie Burgan of Lake. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorials are to Camp Cotubic in Bellefontaine, OH.
