With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cletus William Schmidt of Rockford, Ohio, born in Coldwater, Ohio, who passed away on December 30, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Schmidt and Elvira Schmidt (Ontrop); his son Robert Schmidt; and his brothers, Roger Schmidt, Vincent Schmidt, Jr. and Joseph Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Kuether; his children, Joseph Schmidt (Uihwa) of Bellbrook, Debbie Roehm (Kerry) of Rockford, Donna Gibson (Larry) of Rockford and Jerome Schmidt (Nancy) of Willshire; his siblings, David Schmidt (Alice) of Coldwater, Ronald Schmidt (Linda) of Minster and Mary Ann Knapke (Jerry) of Celina; and his sisters-in-law, Therese Schmidt of Sidney and Carol Schmidt of Union City. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cletus's memory may be sent to CHP Home Care and Hospice in Van Wert.
