He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Miller (Lucas) and Jason Dexter Atkins; his son Dean Atkins; and his sister-in-law Rhonda Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Lori Atkins (Kreider); his daughters, Crystal Strawser (Lloyd) of Logan, Elizabeth Atkins and Grace Atkins of Rockbridge; his grandchildren, Destiny Hoffman, Trent Hoffman, Lilly Stepp (Nicholas) and Trevor Atkins; his great grandchild Michael Dean Hoffman; his siblings, Dexter Eugene Atkins, Deborah Haning (John), Kimberly Boggs (Steve), Melissa Marcum and Christina Neal (Deane); and his stepfather Kenny McIntosh (Yvonne).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cardaras Funeral Homes (183 E 2nd St, Logan, OH 43138). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the New Fairview Memorial Gardens (27841 Fairview Cemetery Rd, Rockbridge, OH 43149).
