He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmet Piatt and Edna Piatt (Pitman); his wife Janet M. Valentine; and his brothers, Clyde, Millard and Donald Piatt.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Piatt (Joyce) of Rittman, Rayetta Shrake (Jerry) of Plainfield, IN, Bruce Piatt (Arthur Marcus) of New York, NY, Gene Piatt (Lisa) of Creston and Doug Piatt (Jane) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Josh Piatt (Julie), Joni Riggenbach (Stu), Christina Shrake Kallai, Stephanie Taylor (Jeff), Justin Piatt, Sean Piatt (Jessica) and Brandon Piatt (Michele Lacey); his great grandchildren, Carter, Ethan, Brennan Jude, Ramey, Reece, Jax, Breck, Mila, Zander and Brennan Ray; and his brothers, Richard Piatt (Janice) of Brazil, IN and David Piatt (Marlene) of Rittman.
