He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Rufener and Calla Rufener (Klotzle); his wife Anna Bauman; and his siblings, Chester, Elton, Isaac, Jr., Helen Maibach and Elizabeth Gasser.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Denise) of Rittman, Leon (Lori) of Rittman and Dan (Karen) of Rittman; his grandchildren, Heidi Edelman (Brandon), Sam Rufener (Suzie), Ben Rufener (Susie), Abe Rufener (Rachel), Myles Rufener (Katie), Justin Rufener (Chrissy), Jon Rufener (Bethany) and Logan Rufener (Rachel); his siblings, Joseph (Lilas), Glen (Beverly) and Carol Beery; and his sisters-in-law, Verna Rufener and Ruth Beery. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
