He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Collins and Wilma Collins (Hardman); his wife Helen; his daughters, Tammy Collins and Heather Ross; and his siblings, Stazel Collins, Fern Meeks and Janet Yoho.
He is survived by: his children, Nelson Collins, Jr., David Collins (Dorothy), Ray Collins and Sue Marlow (Jim); and his sisters, Bernadine Powers and Noreeta Yoho. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
