With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet L. Hartzler of Rittman, Ohio, born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schlatter and Juliet Schlatter (Dotterer); her son Eldon Hartzler; and her siblings, Kathy Manz and Mark Schlatter.
She is survived by: her husband Dean E. Hartzler; her children, Fred Hartzler (Mindy) of Ashland, Lynn Hartzler of Yellow Springs, Eric Hartzler (Jami) of Sardis, Shane Hartzler (Suzanne) of Rittman and Jayna Rupp (Drew) of Sterling; her grandchildren, Shayleen Riggenbach (Jeriah), Shila Hartzler (Clay Shreve), Sheldon Hartzler (Alexa Sapyta), Shaiden Hartzler, Shaw Hartzler, Angel Rassi (Emmaus), Leah Hartzler, Grace Hartzler, Conrad Hartzler, Quincy Hartzler, Gideon Hartzler, Sylvia Hartzler, Carla Hartzler, Esther Hartzler, Titus Hartzler, Mya Hartzler, Mallory Hartzler, Mathias Hartzler, Austin Rupp and Anne Rupp; her great grandchildren, Finley, Fitz, Nora June Riggenbach and Davis Rassi; her siblings, Bill Schlatter (Emy) of Defiance, Tim Schlatter (Becky) of Paulding, Dorothy Dietrich (late Gus) of Lamar, MO, Marge Schlatter of Paulding, Ed Schlatter (Cheryl) of Paulding and Denny Schlatter (Laurie) of Paulding; and her siblings-in-law, David Manz of Paulding and Sherri Schlatter of Forrest, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
