He was predeceased by: his father Aristotle Nicholas. He is survived by: his children, Gary Cottrill (Marci) of Doylestown, Shonnie Cottrill (Ian Myers) of Cuyahoga Falls and Tonya Garner (Mark) of Rittman; his grandchildren, Christi Blythin (Kyle), Michael Cottrill, Aaron Crayden (Randi), Tiffany Crayden and Kyle Cottrill (Gabbie); his great grandchildren, Charlie, Desi Blythin, Preston and Blaine Cottrill; his brother Matthew Cottrill (Jessie) of Virginia; and his pet Misty.
