He is survived by: his wife Susan Hapner (Patterson); his children, Kristin Overbeek (James) of Byron Center, MI, Richard Hapner (Julie) of Byron Center, MI and James Hapner (Emily) of Grand Rapids, MI; his stepchildren, Joseph Patterson (Joy) of Midland, TX, Jill Gasser (Nick) of Creston, OH and Jeanna Miller (Tim) of Creston, OH; and his siblings, Dale Hapner (Bernie) of Grand Rapids, MI and Bonnie Cummings of Grandville, MI.. He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren.
