It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence William Gangwer of Risingsun, Ohio, born in Kansas, Ohio, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chance O. Gangwer and Laura N. Gangwer (Drake); his wife Emma Agnes Hill; his daughter Julia Gangwer; and his siblings, Robert Gangwer, Helen Buehning, Sara Wildman, Gladean Goon, Frederick Gangwer and Trudy Woodland-Gangwer.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Gangwer (Dee Clay) of Fostoria, Rebecca Eisenman (Steve) of Risingsun, Timothy Gangwer of Risingsun and Thomas Gangwer (Dorathy) of Risingsun; his grandchildren, Monica (Matt), Ryne (Rebecca), William, Gavin, Lindsay, Brittney (Kelly), Morgan and Chaunce; and his sibling Laurie Engler (Kate). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
He was a devout believer in Christ and was active in Scott Trinity United Methodist Church his entire life until COVID.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smile Train Charity, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
