He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Earl Brooks, Sr. and Nellie Mae Garrison Brooks; his wife Ernestine Brooks; and his siblings, Nancy Williams, Troy Brooks and Betty Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Netanya Brooks and Leonard Brooks III; and his siblings, Aola Brooks, Melissa Brooks, Mildred Brooks, Willa Kidd and Otis Brooks. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Slone & Co. (13115 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111). The military honors was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
