It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Scaggs of Ripley, Ohio, born in Manchester, Ohio, who passed away on September 27, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Erna Schroth Burr; her stepfather Alvin W. Burr; her grandmother Gertrude Schroth; and her grandson Chandler Ryan Day. She is survived by: her husband Elbert Scaggs; her children, Denise Germann (Jerry) of Aberdeen, Maribeth Koewler (Donnie) of Ripley, Ohio and James E. Scaggs (Jill) of Maysville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jeremy Germann (Aimee), Ashley Scaggs Crank (Scott), Kayla Germann Gural (Jason), Jamie Scaggs, Travis Scaggs (Katie), Steven Scaggs (Emily), Taylour Day and McKenna Koewler (Andrew Smith); her great grandchildren, Wyatt Germann, Danielle Cyan Crank, Gage Crank, Alexander Gural and Ellie Mullins; her brother Earl Rickey (Doris) of Miamisburg, Ohio; and her cousins, Jeannie Bradford of Ripley, Ohio and Diana Phillips of Ripley, Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
During the visitation and funeral service, social distancing will be observed and facial coverings are required.
