She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Smith and Bernice Smith; her husband David Hale; her daughter Cheryl Smith; her brothers, Walter Knapp, Charles Knapp, John Smith and Wayne Smith; and her stepfather Myron Knapp.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Duarte (Frank) of Xenia, OH and Kimberly Simms (Andy) of Felicity, OH; her son-in-law Paul Smith of Augusta, KS; her grandchildren, Joshua, Toby Smith and Letitia Denny; and her siblings, Dennis Knapp and Linda Pickering.
