It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arthur Dakin of Ripley, Ohio, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on March 11, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Emerson and Grace Ida Dakin (Blatt); his wife Thelma Dakin (Hughes); his sons, Arthur and Mark Dakin; his great grandchild Jasmine Flora; and his siblings, Ray, Fred, Billy, David, Charles, Melvin, Nellie, Jenny and Louise.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Metzger (Ralph) of Felicity and Lori Godby (John) of Ripley, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Faye Caserey, Christopher Dakin, Kyle Dakin, Danny Dakin, Angela Weckbach, Regina Norris, Steven Jones, Donnie Flora, James Jones, Rodney Flora, Norman Flora, Jennifer Andriot, Jessica Chaliandros, Todd Metzger and Craig Metzger. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
