With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William J. Kerns of Ridgeway, Ohio, born in Rushsylvania, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kerns and Martha Kerns (Corwin); his wife Janet M. Kerns (Kavanagh); and his brothers, Jerald and John Kerns.
He is survived by: his daughters, Loretta Kerns of Ridgeway and Ruth Cole (John) of Virginia; his granddaughter Katherine Cole of Virginia; and his siblings, Mary Ann Burkholder of Defiance, Betty Hoover of Salmon, ID., Laura Beth Reed of Defiance, Marvin Kerns of Rushsylvania, Melvin Kerns of Salmon, ID. and Mark Kerns of Maine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Rushsylvania United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
