He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Giffey and Emma Giffey (Yungman); and his siblings, Corinne March, Carmen Wiechers and Carrol Jean Giffey.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Giffey (Bunke); his daughters, Lynette Grooms (Mike) of Ridgeville Corners and Linda Volkman (David) of Napoleon; his grandchildren, Chad Grooms (Dawn), Tony Grooms (Jenna), Christie Cohrs (Kyle), Matthew Volkman and Suzy Volkman; his great grandchildren, Addisyn, Olivia, Mason, Miller, Casey, Kara and Caleb; his brother Ned Giffey (Norma) of Napoleon; and also, Val DeGroff (Fred) of Archbold, Vicki Rockey (Steve) of Edon, Valinda Christopher (Jim) of Linden, MI and Brian Ziegler (Tobi) of Archbold.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or Ridgeville Corners Fire Department.
