He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McMahan and Flora McMahan (Lodge); and his wife Molly Key McMahan (Salyer). He is survived by: his children, Shane McMahan (Lora) of Marion, Tracy Duncan (David) of Marion and Jason McMahan (Randi) of Las Vegas; his grandchildren, Joey McMahan, Tyler McMahan, Christopher Duncan, Sammantha Duncan, Kayley Duncan, Noah Duncan, Alister Duncan, Savannah Duncan, Serenity Duncan, Andrew Hutchinson and Anthony Hutchinson; and his siblings, Clyde Weuthrich of Hamilton, Sue Taylor of Richwood, Bonnie LeMaster of Richwood and Rosemary Tindall (Steve) of Myrtle Beach.
