He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Core and Dorothea Elizabeth Gray (Baumgartner). He is survived by: his wife Emma Lynn Gray (Boaz); his grandson John Steilyn Gray-Martin; his sons, John David Gray (Linda) of Radcliff, Kentucky, James A. Gray (Judy) of Richwood, Stuart A. Gray (Christy) of Richwood and Thomas Richard Gray (Kim) of Powell; his grandchildren, Betsy Ann Baer (Tony), Casey Daum (Lucas), Michael Gray (Natalie), Tyler Gray (Holly), Amie Gray, Delaney Gray and Jamison Gray; his great grandchildren, Sam, Levi, Cora, Micah, Henry, Harrison, Serour, Emmalynn and Eli; and his siblings, Don Gray, Robert Gray, Ruth Ann Wynn and Linda McNamee.
One of Dick's passions was wood carving, making various unique and precious works of art, often donating them to charity, which would reap great benefits for the organization.
