It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George E Showalter of Richwood, Ohio, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Showalter and Rachell Showalter (Roberts); his parents-in-law, Glenn, Georgia Davis and Dorothy Kelly; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Jackson and James R. Ricksecker.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Showalter (Davis); his children, George E. Showalter III of Lexington, KY, Brandon Showalter and Lesa Gray; his granddaughter Samantha Ferrell (Micheal) of Texas; his stepson Douglas Daniel (Pam); his sister-in-law Sondra Ricksecker of Marion; his nephew Donald Spitzer (Jennifer) of Marion; his stepfather-in-law Edwin Kelly; his brother-in-law Ronald Jackson of Marion; and his nieces and nephews, Armani and Alyric. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions in George's name be made to the Richwood Opera House, Richwood Park or the REAP of Richwood.
