He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Byers; and his brother Mearl Byers. He is survived by: his wife Verna Byers (Webber); and his daughters, Charlotte Bishop (Larry) and Janet Mazik (Timothy). He is also survived by his six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to either First Baptist Church Steubenville or Two Ridges Presbyterian Wintersville.
