She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Shimek and Eileen Shimek of Carnegie; her brother Charles M. Shimek of Oakdale; and her husband Edward W. Pethtel Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Betty McGinnis (Chuck) of Carnegie; and her children, Erik (Holly) of Burgettstown, Cindy (Randy) of Irondale, Claude (Gwen) of Georgetown, Kim (Carl) of Weirton, Melissa (Bob) of Monongahela and William (Heather) of Mingo Junction. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
