He was predeceased by: his parents, William Z. Gump and Agnes Rose Gump (Watt); and his brothers, Clifford, Charles Wayne and Harold Gump.
He is survived by: his wife Isabell M. Gump (Hartmann); his children, Deborah Gump and William Gump (Leona); and his sister Joanne Milligan (William). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
