James left this world on January 10, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Basmagy and Marion Basmagy; and his brother-in-law Domenic Grande (Martha). He is survived by: his wife Roseana; his children, Jimmy and Nicole (Alex Hammer); his mother-in-law Concetta Grande; and his nephews, Nicholas (Nichole), Domenico Jr. and Michael.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vitantonio-Previte Funeral Home (5236 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, OH 44124). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the All Souls Cemetery (10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024).
