He was predeceased by: his wife Louise "Cindy"; his daughter Charlene; his parents, William and Catherine; and his brother William Jr..

He is survived by: his son Carl Jr. (Marla); his grandchildren, Bryan and Stephanie Wallace (Colton); and his siblings, Kathy May-Dahl, John, Jean Metz and Thomas (Carol).
