She was predeceased by: her father Alfred Schmidt; her stepfather John Holzapfel, Sr.; her son John Bauer; and her brother John Holzapfel, Jr. (Joyce). She is survived by: her husband Hans-Rolf Bauer; her children, Joan Warner, Brian Bauer (Meredith) and Joyce Siniff (Glen); and her sisters, Viki Schlosser, Patty Lohiser (Paul), Sally Cochran and Lynda Streng (Ralph). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
