He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Kay and Lorena "Renie" Taylor Kay; his brother James Edgar Kay, Jr.; and his son Jason Eric. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Akweita; and his grandchild Jalen. He is also survived by several cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
