She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Doty and Cora Doty; and her sister Melva Snyder. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Rutherford; her daughters, Diana Montgomery (Eric Vazquez), Alicia Nicodemus (Ron) and Kara Bodle (Paul Brown); her stepdaughter Laura Faulkner (Derek); her grandchildren, MacKenzie O'Flaherty, Zachary O, Flaherty, Megan Montgomery, Cameron Montgomery, Alexyss Bodle, Ethan Montgomery, Brayden Faulkner and Avery Faulkner; and her brother Roger Doty.
