He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Runion and Lillian I. Runion (Myers); his wife Betty J. Runion (Dearth); and his brother Petie Runion. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Runion of Clyde and John Runion (Lori) of Republic; his grandsons, Seth and Brody; his stepgrandchildren, Timothy, Trey and Makenzie; his great grandchild Raelynn; his siblings, Dan Runion (Coco) of Clyde and Julia Runion of Bay View; and his close friend Delores Chapman of Bellevue.
