She was predeceased by: her parents, Verdie Smith and Elizabeth Baker Smith; her husband Daniel McCoy; her son Jonathan; her grandchildren, Eric Barber and Lura; and her sister Ruth Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Trina McCoy, Crystal Barber, Susan Richards and Jason Richards; and her close friend Diane Fowler. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
