He was predeceased by: his siblings, Maryann Gray, Eileen Slivinski, Pauline Schemmel Drees, Kathleen Schmitmeyer, Paul (MaryAnn), Raymond (Rita), Jerome (late Patty Jo) and Ronald (Mary); and his brother-in-law Alan Hyre (Gladys).
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Carolyn Hyre Nikolai (late Paul); his sons, John Christoph and Andrew David; and his grandchildren, Evan, Amy and Adam Feltz. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
